This pretty pink cake was the result of a late-night urge to bake and try out rosettes on a cake. The idea I had in my head was actually a tall, thinner cake with more of an ombre effect but 9” round cake pans were all I had available to me at the time and rather than waste cake by cutting them into 6” cakes after, I just decided to go with it. This was a lot of fun to make and I realized that rosettes, despite looking really fancy, are actually quite simple to create on a cake. I used a basic buttercream frosting and will be using this design again in the future!
