Chocolate Roll

This was the dessert for my highs school senior class’s last lunch together.  We had a potluck lunch and everyone brought something.  Naturally, I volunteered to bring dessert!  This was actually made late at night, which seems to be a great time to bake.  I made a chocolate sheet cake and as soon as it came out of the oven, I put it on a clean powdered sugar-dusted towel and rolled it up to cool.  This gave it its roll shape so when I added the whipped cream in it it would easily roll up.  After adding the whipped cream inside, which was whipped with some almond extract and powdered sugar I rolled it up and topped it with more whipped cream and mini chocolate chips for the writing.
