This elegant chocolate cake I made for my parent’s wedding anniversary. It is a rich chocolate cake with a chocolate ganache frosting. This was my first time working with ganache and found it extremely beautiful. When warm I could just pour it over the cake but as it cooled it would harden. It was then I used a flat spatula dipped in warm water to warm it to give the edges a very smooth finish.
I made the topping out of white and dark melting chocolate in the cake pan. I swirled the two together and let it harden. Then after prepping the strawberries, I arranged them so as to give the chocolate the tilt. I was very overall pretty happy with how it turned out and am looking forward to working with ganache again!
